I've nearly finished the Library Room.  It has really been fun putting this together.  The idea is a small town library just after Labor Day ready to welcome students at the start of a new school year.

 

This week I've had time to work on a Library Room.  This idea has been rolling around in my head for quite a while.  Last month I made bricks from paper clay and I'm using them on the exterior walls of the new project.  There's still lots to do, but the exterior is nearly complete.  So far, So good!  This is the first tree I've made too.  The floors are made of stained strips of hardwood.  For the porch, I used a gray "white wash" for the room itself, I used an oak gel stain.

 The scale is 1:12

 The door and frame are a pre fab kit.

I have successfully made bricks from paper clay!  I made an entire wall and then made some individual bricks as well.  I love this stuff!  It would be great for flagstones or for tree bark.  So many ideas!

Well, It's been awhile since I've posted anything on my blog!

We traveled over the Christmas Holidays and soon after returning home, we welcomed a new puppy into our family.  He is a beautiful 6 month old white German Shepherd named Fen.  He is curious and active and a handful!!

Meanwhile, in the craft room:  I have been working on a new room box.  The name of the room box is "KATS".  It was inspired by 2 Cat Ornaments I unearthed in my ornament storage and of course, by the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, "Cats".

The room box has working Stage Lights.  The scale is 1:12.  Hope you enjoy the pictures!
