I woke up this morning thinking about building a new Fairy House for 2017.  I think this year it will be a tree house in our Redbud Tree.  The houses constructed for use outdoors require materials that will withstand the elements.  Time to check the construction materials bin and see what I have on hand!  So many possibilities, maybe something inspired by Swiss Family Robinson.

We are back home at the beach!  It was great spending time with family.  Now it's time to  make up my mind about what my next project should be.  I have so many ideas floating around in my head!!  This will be a difficult decision!

Kirk and I are having a fantastic time with our grandchildren this week.  We dyed Easter Eggs with Ben and did a "practice" egg hunt!

Back to work next week but this has been a great few days!
 

Yah!!  I completed the last few details on my Library Room!!  This has really been a fun project.  I love working with paper clay and making my first tree was fun too!

I've nearly finished the Library Room.  It has really been fun putting this together.  The idea is a small town library just after Labor Day ready to welcome students at the start of a new school year.

 

This week I've had time to work on a Library Room.  This idea has been rolling around in my head for quite a while.  Last month I made bricks from paper clay and I'm using them on the exterior walls of the new project.  There's still lots to do, but the exterior is nearly complete.  So far, So good!  This is the first tree I've made too.  The floors are made of stained strips of hardwood.  For the porch, I used a gray "white wash" for the room itself, I used an oak gel stain.

 The scale is 1:12

 The door and frame are a pre fab kit.
